Full-Time Position
Full time Preschool Teacher is needed for 3-4 year old classroom. Blue Ridge Developmental Day has an excellent career opportunity for an energetic, knowledgeable and nurturing teacher to guide twelve 3-4 year olds in reaching their full potential. Duties will include excellent communication skills, creation and implementation of developmentally appropriate lesson plans, relating to and understanding family dynamics, and knowledge of state regulations. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team. Salary and schedule to be discussed during interview.
The ideal candidate will possess a NC teaching license with a BK certification or add-on. All candidates must be willing to obtain a TB test and submit a criminal background check

Paid Volunteer Position

We are asking for your help and you will not regret it- our school is a lovely family, please read our reviews and come by for a visit and talk to our Granny Jean! You do not have to have a family member that works or attends this school.
NO LABOR- just hugging, rocking, reading, playing, listening, and laughing!
Requirements:
55 years of age or older
Loves working with children
Has 20 hours or more each week free
It's a volunteer position, but volunteers receive a stipend of $238.50 non-taxable pay and it is paid directly—this income does NOT affect government benefits!
Benefits are: meal and travel reimbursement, liability insurance, vacation and sick leave and paid holidays.
You will be trained prior to beginning your volunteer work.
